Nov 9 – Anita Augesen and Carol McMahon: On Sunday, November 9 at 4:00 PM, Anita Augesen and Carol McMahon to read their poetry at Books, ETC. Anita J Augesen’s poems use words to paint visual pictures of her life, to reflections upon nature, and to note anything else that catches her attention during a busy life. Her poems have appeared in several anthologies including Common Intuitions and Remembering Faces, (Palettes and Quills, 2005 and 2006), Knocking on the Silence (Foothills Publishing, 2005). She coordinated the Pathways and Doors Photography and Poetry Project which was part of the RochesterInk Poetry Infusion Festival in 2006. Two of her poems appeared in the Winter/Spring 2010 Issue of the Unrorean. Carol McMahon is a Middle School English teacher and a long-time area poet. She has worked at Writers & Books teaching SummerWrite classes for children and is currently completing her MFA in poetry at the Rainier Writers Workshop in Washington State. Carol has been published in various journals such as HazMat Review, Lake Affect Magazine and The Blue Collar Review. She also has a chapbook, On Any Given Day, published by FootHills Publishing.
