TrailWorks hosts Fall Foliage and Seed Gathering Hike
Fall is usually seen as a time of year when things die off. Some of our flowers are losing their glow, trees are losing their leaves; but deep within is the promise of spring and new life. Trail Works invites you to the Macedon Butterfly Trail on Sunday, October 18 to enjoy the Fall Foliage and help restore our natural environment by collecting native wildflower seed. Seed collecting provides an opportunity to learn how to identify many of the plants while helping to restore park land to native species. The hike begins at 1 PM and will also feature an informative talk in the pavilion about the process of seed collecting and regeneration of plants. Training and collection bags are provided. The Butterfly Trail is located in the Village of Macedon at Canal Park-Lock 30, just off Rte. 350/31F.
