The Newark Village Board and the Newark Village Police Department would like to bring a young boy’s dream to life on March 21, 2017 at 6 pm in the Village’s second floor court room, located at 100 East Miller Street, Newark, New York 14513.
Robbie Barrett has battled serious health issues for years, however when he grows up he says he “wants to be a cop” like his friend, Newark Village Police Officer, Dan Weegar.
Mayor Jonathan Taylor stated that “The Village Board and the Newark Village Police Department look forward to making this courageous young man’s dream come true” by swearing in Robbie as a Honorary Police Officer for the day at its Village Board meeting on March 21st.
Those wishing to support Robbie in his battles are encouraged to be present to honor him on this special night.
